Vintage Sony Trinitron KV-1620 15” Color Woodgrain CRT TV For Parts or Repair.
A classic set, with some relatively minor issues, this is a great candidate for restoration. The main issue is the screen tilt. You can see an example of this tilt in photos 10 and 11. I would say that the tilt is actually a little worse than it looks in these photos. Aside from the screen issue the set does have cosmetic issues. On top of the various scratches/scuffs of usage and aging wear, please note the peeling wood grain on the sides and top. The top wood grain is peeling and slightly bubbling in a couple spots. The Sony logo badge on the front is missing. The knobs have some wear and corrosion to them as seen most notably in photo 9. The UHF channel knob is also a little stiff. There are various scratches and scuffs over the set. There is a serial number etched into the top back side bezel as seen to the left in photo 5. That number is also written in marker on the bottom front right of the bezel as seen most closely in photo 2. The set has not been cleaned on the inside. Due to the cosmetic issues and the screen being tilted, this set is being sold, as-is, for parts/repair/restoration. Hopefully someone will give this woodgrain beauty a new home and some new life.
