VINTAGE 1955 Zenith 17 Television TV T1816R - POWERS ON - MCM Space Age

Vintage 1955 17" Cambridge Zenith
T1816R Television per the following:

Included with the television is a set of rabbit ear antenna that appears to be vintage (possibly even the original ones).  Television appears to be in good shape and appears to have it's original cord and plug.  The television powers on (after is warms up a little bit), but only static shows up on the screen, static can be heard through the speaker, the channels will change, and the volume adjusts up and down (see the video).  All the knobs turn, but one of the front ones does appear to be missing the aluminum cover.  Overall, an amazing piece of midcentury modern / space age styling and ITS AMAZING TO THINK OF THE HISTORY THAT WAS WATCHED ON THIS TELEVISION.  I don't know if any television stations are broadcasting anything other than digital (which may be the cause of the static), but I am listing this item as "For parts or not working" because of the static.  Look the pictures over and watch the video to judge for yourself as they are considered part of the item description!
Everything is to be considered as is.  With any vintage electronic item, you will need to clean it up, inspect it, and repair if you deem necessary before use.  Check to make sure that it will fit your application.  Great item for the collector or rebuilders though!  Look the pictures over and judge for yourself!
