ULTRA RARE 1972 Sony Trinitron Color CRT TV 12” KV-1212 (Tested).
PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION FULLY TO KNOW THE EXACT CONDITION OF ITEM:
Hello! This Tv was purchased from the original owner after being stored away for a very long time.
It’s clear from the photos that there are noticeable blemishes on the TV. Some examples include:
• The top of the screen brim has been chipped away.
• The power cord has electrical tape covering what I would assume to be a tear.
• The side of the tv has its cover peeling off and brittle.
And other small scratches and dings.
Please read further where it is explained how this Tv was tested:
This TV was connected to a power source and tested for a couple of minutes.
The knobs seem to all work from my judgment.
When I change the channel, I see a flash therefore I assume the channel changer also works.
The brightness and picture change when the knobs are adjusted therefore I assume they work.
The volume button adjusts well. You can hear it go low when turned low and high when turned high.
This tv was
NOT
hooked up to any sort of broadcast, DVD player, video or any of that sort. Therefore I can’t know for certain those components work. When turned off, the Sony three color logo appears so assume color works well.
Also one strong note I feel the need to mention.
I am not sure how bright these TV’s are supposed to go. In comparison to newer TV’s, this TV seems a lot dimmer than them. I tested this in the garage and shut the door in order to get a good visual of the screen, that’s the video that’s uploaded. I’m unsure if it’s supposed to go brighter than that or not but the knob does work! It went dim when I turned it down and bright when turned up.
I just felt the strong urge to mention this.
