SHARP JC-AV1 JC-TV10 Portable TV Radio Cassette Player 1986 Japan. WORKING !!!!!.  THIS IS IT!!  THE UNICORN!  I've had this wonderful item for nearly 30 years....AND IT IS STILL WORKING!! The JC-AV1 is very similar to the JC-TV10 except it does not have Dolby (back then it was more of a signal suppressor/muffler more than anything else). So let me answer a few questions you may have: does the radio work, YES; does the tape player work, YES; in both directions, YES; does the auto-reverse function properly, YES; does the TV work, YES BUT FEW TV STATIONS (IF ANY) STILL BROADCAST AN ANALOG SIGNAL IN THE U.S.
CHECK THE PICS! Hopefully you see the red power light on!  I took multiple shots of the cassette play so that you can see (hopefully) movement in the hub as it was playing (see small white semi-circle at the hub). I took pictures of TV static to show that it indeed does work. VERY CLEAN TAPE CARRIAGE!
This item is sold AS-IS. There is one issue: the headphone jack has a slight wonk and sometimes sends signal into one ear only...the headphone also has to be properly fitted into the jack in order for the JC-AV1 to turn on.
