    Description

I acquired this TV (1948 model) over 50 years ago from a Mr. Bond (not James Bond’s brother) and finally decided to restore or dispose.
This is now a working TV that has been restored using TV test equipment to receive the original channel 3 frequency .
A LOT of parts were replaced!! It came without knobs so I used what I had. The other channels may work but channel 3 was all I needed. The channel selector button is missing but not needed since only CH3 is now used.  I am using an adapter that picks up broadcast HD signals and converts to channel 3 for “off the air” programs.
Due to the primitive design this TV does not work well with VHS or DVD copy guard signals and I use an NTSC signal processor to make this work.
Why am I selling for less that some other “parts only” versions of this on Ebay?
The Grand Rapids museum in Michigan doesn’t want it.
My kids don’t want it and I would rather sell to someone that does want it.
I am selling LOCAL PICKUP ONLY for now since shipping adds cost and shipping damage risk.
