Description
Early to mid-19th century Japanese lacquer folder with gold maki-e, intricately hand-painted with exquisite patterns. It is a very good display of the extraordinary painting skills of artists of that period.The folder is not connected together,the two wooden panels are now separate.
Showing signs of age with slight wear to the gold, and the female figure has a dent on her face but is in generally good condition.
