Got this TV from someone doing cleanup of a very old house.
This TV was in one of the unused rooms.
This TV has been stored there since the 60s and has been untouched since.
This is in original shape. No tinkerers have been hacking on it or any restoration has ever been done.
It has been in a "time capsule" all these years.
With some restoration, this could be a very nice collector TV.
TV was plugged in and the tubes light up and picture tube neck glows but no raster.
The channel knob seems frozen so we didn't try to force it. After all these years, this can be expected.
Knobs are all there and the brass Philco insignia too.
Very nice cosmetic shape for its age. There is the usual dust and scratches from normal wear but nothing major. The wood is a very nice Mahogany.
Top and side finishes are nice.
Front cover hinges are in good shape & work well.
There is a broken wheel from one of the bottom corners that will need to be reattached (see pics) but all the pieces are there.
The screen on this looks nice, just needs a good cleaning inside the glass.
The bottom wooden strip on one side needs reattached also but it looks to be in good shape. Just needs glued back on.
I did find some online schematics for this TV and will include them.
